TORONTO – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27TH, 2018– Festival-goers will have a chance to get a sneak preview of what’s in store at the 17th ANNUAL WINTERFOLK BLUES AND ROOTS FESTIVALwhen some of the finest folk, roots and blues artists will take the stage at Toronto’s Black Swan Tavern on Saturday, December 8th. Doors open at 7:30 pm and music starts at 8:00 pm for this event to benefit Winterfolk. Artists will include David Storey, & The Side Road Scholars, HOTCHA!,Chloe Watkinson, Tony Quarrington, Brian Gladstone, and Glen Hornblast Band. Toronto’s Winterfolk XVII festival – which runs from February 22-24, 2019, will present a jam-packed night of music as a teaser to the upcoming all-ages, mid-winter, weatherproof urban blues and roots festival.

Every year the Winterfolk Blues and Roots Festival engages in special preview performances that showcase some of the finest emerging and established talent the city has to offer. We want audiences to get a glimpse of what will be on offer for the upcoming festival. Winterfolk staples singer-songwriterDavid Storey (this year with his full band The Side Road Scholars), hillbilly swing duo HOTCHA!,finger-style guitarists Brian Gladstone (also the founder and Festival Director) and Tony Quarrington will be on hand along with the Glen Hornblast Band and newcomer, dynamic vocalist and rising star Chloe Watkinson.
