The O’Pears are a female folk trio based in Toronto, with a sound and style that is both classic and contemporary. With the homegrown musicality of The Wailin Jennys, the sibling-like blend of the Andrews Sisters, and the lyrical sensibility of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, The O’Pears, with their signature jaw-dropping harmonies, hold listeners captive. They have most notably performed at NXNE, the Sing! Vocal Arts Festival in both Toronto and Austin, Texas, and were recent favourites at the 2015 Lunenberg Folk Harbour Festival in Nova Scotia. After the success of their debut EP, “Our Own”, The O’Pears are excited to release their first full-length album, with the support of the Ontario Arts Council, in April 2016. |
