Guelph singer-songwriter Jane Lewis blends engaging melodies and well-crafted lyrics in her piano-based folk-pop-roots style. Often compared to Carole King, her songwriting has been described as “intelligent, poetic, and cinematic.” She was a finalist for the 2015 Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award as a solo artist, and a nominee for the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards (Vocal Group of the Year) with her duo, Gathering Sparks. Her debut full-length CD Stay With Me was released in September 2014. When not on stage, Jane can be found leading vocal workshops such as “How to Sing Harmony,” recording and singing backup vocals for other artists, or running Women’s Music Weekend retreats. |
